Police Credit Union Ltd has a vacancy for a Board Member to represent the Bristol Branch Constituency.
We are looking for somebody with a genuine interest is contributing to the governance of the largest Credit Union within the Association of British Credit Unions (ABCUL) with assets over sixty-eight million pounds and twenty-eight thousand members.
The Nominations committee is looking for a person with a proven record in contributing positively within a financial organisation, a willingness to continue to develop their own personal skills within a mandatory training programme; and most importantly, an ability to examine financial data, contribute to setting strategy and constructively question and if necessary challenge decision making.
Nominations must meet the nomination criteria; a member of PCU Ltd and with a membership number which is affiliated within the Bristol Branch* (Successful nominee’s will be expected to have been a member for at least twelve months, seconded by another member, so qualified).
The Nominations Committee would like to encourage nominations especially from underrepresented groups: females and minority groups.
This is a voluntary role requiring a commitment of at least one day a month with additional training time and subcommittee responsibilities.
Nominees will be required to travel, PCU Ltd is a National organisation. Mileage and receipted out of pocket expenses are paid.
This is an elected position with a minimum three-year tenure.
