The semi finals of the Police National Cricket Knockout will take place on Wednesday 25th July.

Staffordshire will host Northumbria & Durham hoping for a reversal in fortune when the teams met in the 2018 Final which ended in defeat for them.

In the other semi final Essex will entertain Dyfed-Powys.

The last time these two forces met was in the 2009 Final at Scarborough which Essex won comfortably.

The winners will play the Final on Thursday 6th September at the Fischer County Ground (better known as Grace Road) the home of Leicestershire CCC.

The highly successful BBC series ‘A Matter of Life and Debt’ is returning to our screens in the autumn and the producers are looking for people to take part.

This uplifting and positive series highlights the important work carried out by credit unions up and down the country, as they help people like yourself find loans to enrich or change your life.

The BBC have contacted Police Credit Union to take part and we would love to hear from you if you have done any of the following:

• Taken out a loan in the past when you were in desperate need and wish to share your experience
• Are planning on taking out a loan soon to bring about a positive change in your life
• You have managed to overcome your debt problems with the help of the credit union and started saving as a result

PCU Sponsors Team Of The Year Award at West Midlands Police Diamond Awards 2017/18







It was a great pleasure to be present at the West Midlands Police Diamond Awards 2017/18, held on Thursday 22 March at the British Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.

This was the sixth annual awards ceremony, recognising officers, staff and the public who have acted above and beyond the call of duty. Individuals and teams who have made a significant contribution to making the West Midlands a safer place to live, work and visit are nominated for one of 10 awards. The Diamond Awards allows officers, staff, partners and the community the opportunity to recognise and reward West Midlands police personnel who deliver a service that friends and family would be proud of.

PCU sponsored the Team of the Year award. This award is given to the team or department who have worked together to demonstrate the power and effectiveness of excellent teamwork while exemplifying the force values. There were 4 nominations for the award   and the winners were a response unit from Sutton Coldfield who fully deserved the award. Congratulations!


Hollywood Actor and Credit Union Advocate Michael Sheen Launches Fair Credit Campaign

Hollywood actor and credit union advocate Michael Sheen has launched the End High Cost Credit Alliance to back fair financial services providers and not-for-profit lenders.

The aim of the campaign is to to promote affordable financial alternatives to, and improve the wellbeing of millions of people across the UK, who fall victim to high-cost lenders.

PCU Availability Over The Easter Period

PCU AGM 2018 – Annual Dividend Announcement

Dear members,

We are pleased to confirm that, following the PCU AGM 2018, the annual dividend for the Rewarder savings account has been proposed and confirmed at 1.0% gross for the financial year of 2016-17.

This shows an increase upon the 2015-16 dividend that was paid at 0.3%.

We would like to place our thanks to all of our members after a successful financial year, which will enable PCU to develop new products and an improved service to help even more people within the protective services.

The dividend will be paid on to all members’ accounts by 21/03/2018.
